In this garment-making class, students will design and make their own perfect pair of work pants. Each student will choose a particular hobby or activity to be the inspiration for the design of their individual pants. After establishing the basic fit through existing paper patterns, we will discuss and explore practical (and impractical) ways of customizing garments to meet the needs of the wearer. Pattern drafting and manipulation, fitting adjustments, and a variety of garment construction techniques taught. Basic sewing machine skills required.
